Bouquet Care
For long-lasting blooms, follow these steps
give your stems a fresh cut
Not only will this keep them hydrated, it’s also an opportunity for you to trim them to fit your vase so everything looks nice and full. Flower snips are very handy for this task!
place flowers away from direct sunlight
Flowers like to be kept cool so your hot, sunny porch isn’t your bouquet’s favorite spot.
Another fun fact
Ripening fruits and veggies release an ethylene gas that makes your blooms decay fast so keep them away from the fruit bowl.
start with fresh water and replace it every 2-3 days
Right after you trim your stems, plunge them into fresh water in a clean vase. Keep refreshing to stave off decay.
remove stems that look sad to extend the life of the other flowers
Pull out any wilted flowers or greens to keep the longest lasting flowers in the bouquet alive for longer.
