Meet Our Crew!

The 2026 season is kicking off and I’m so fortunate to have been working with my crew for the past 2-6 years. These years have been extremely formative, both personally and professionally (scaling the farm, having babies, building out a studio, navigating crises in our city, grief). We’ve done it all together, making us a tight-knit crew. We are excited to add 2 new folks into the mix this season! Here’s a little bit about the people who make this flower farm and florist dream happen.

Molly G

Molly (me) is the owner of Northerly Flora. This farm and floral studio has evolved greatly since the first seed planting in my basement. What started as a personal dream, has turned into a lively small business and community for flower lovers in the Twin Cities. Sharing this work with others is what brings the most fulfillment and what keeps me going.

Sanna

Sanna is our team manager and mascot. She keeps the mood fun and lighthearted, all while leading the harvest and prioritizing the to-do list. If you've worked with us on an event or attended a workshop, you've interacted with Sanna. She's been working with Northerly since 2021, and is the recipient of all Molly’s 'what do you think about this?' brainstorm questions. Sanna and Molly grew up in South Dakota together, and have been mistaken for one another for over 30 years.

Marnie

Marnie is full time on our team since 2024. She grew up on an apple orchard in Fairhaven, MN, so she's a farmer through and through. From apples to veggies to flowers, she has the most farm experience of us all. Marnie is thorough, thoughtful, and full of laughter. She has a "MacGyver" sensibility, and we'll often find clever fixes around the farm by way of pulley systems and storage solutions that plainly say, 'Marnie was here'. She loves a tidy, well-labeled shed and presenting found treasures to coworkers and cute small children to spark delight.

Molly E.

Molly E. joined our team full-time in 2024. She's a floral design whiz, with years of flower shop experience under her belt. Molly has elevated our design work, and if you've ordered flowers from us recently it's more than likely her handiwork. Molly spends the first part of her week on the farm crew, so she's got her hands in the dirt while pulling together color palettes and floral combinations. She is sincere, silly, and we can count on her to remind us how special this work is.

Jen

Jen joined our team in 2022, bringing years of experience working on veggie farms. She's with us 3 days a week and adds a fuel to our fire. Her specialty is quick and dirty farm tasks — clearcutting a bed of gomphrena, mowing down a weed-infested section, or speed-planting a bed of transplants before the end of day. As a mom of 3 girls, her superpower is checking things off our to-do list while simultaneously making her grocery list and scheduling kids doctor appointments.

Jenna

Jenna joined our team part-time in 2024. She's farm crew on Mondays, bouquet crew on Thursdays, and helps with social media and print marketing materials. Her and Molly E are the visionaries and coordinators of our Holiday Makers Market. Jenna's superpower is somehow having every care item anyone might spontaneously need (an extra hat, a sewing needle, dental floss, a tiny carafe of coffee) all neatly packed into her reasonably sized backpack. We are lucky to have her calm, creative, and detailed oriented energy on our team!

Meg

New to the team this year! Meg is Molly’s sister-in-law and has been supporting Northerly Flora behind the scenes for years. This year she is joining the team in an official capacity for administrative and business support. She’s an HR professional and UX designer by training so we are lucky to have her experience and positive energy leveling up our operations!

Morgan

Another new crew member, Morgan! Morgan is a recent Minneapolis transplant by way of St. Louis, where he worked for years in the farming and floristry industry. He is passionate about working outside in the dirt and is excited to see how us northerners grow flowers. We are thrilled to have him join the team, and can’t wait to learn from his extensive experience!
